- This channel is a video that discusses the fascination of great apes (#gorilla、#chimpanzee、#orangutan) and enrichment.
Apes are the most intelligent animals and are therefore susceptible to mental illness.
Environmental enrichment is a measure to reduce mental and physical stress and lead a happy life from the standpoint of apes, not from the convenience and emotions of human beings.

最後のシーン、ミカンさんはディル君の手をしっかり握りイブキ君は赤ちゃんを優しく見つめてと、旭山とはまったく真逆で、安心感や幸福感を思い切り感じました。先程犬山モンキーセンター昼ライブを観てましたが、ワオキツネザルに三つ子が生まれた際、先輩から三つ子の場合一人は人口哺育にするよう申し送りがあったけど、若いスタッフが本当かどうか三人をお母さんに託した所、弱い個体にミルクをやらない傾向が見えたのですぐ一人は人口哺育に切り替えたそうです。これを聞いて、常日ごろ自分の頭で考え、複数人で飼育動物にとって最善の策を模索し、しっかり観察、実践する。旭山にはこれらが抜け落ちてるんだろうと思いました。

Mikan is trying to kindly display to Ibuki to be gentle but I’m sure he’s a bit jealous because she’s always played with Ibuki and mothered him.

I was just thinking the same exact thing. I can’t get that off my mind. I didn’t know pure animal abuse was tolerated anywhere on this planet any longer (that is a dang facility open to the public) and I’m livid. That baby was 100% happy and if they try to say anything different, every one of them are liars.

I'm not defending the zoos but we all have different values and see things differently. Zoos in many places around the world are under all critic. Awful places but animal abuse is present all over the world. For example I've haven't seen so much for example dog, cat and horse abuse as in USA anywhere else. Some states don't even have laws against horse abuse. I realise not all countries can put in as strict laws as we have in Sweden when it comes to any kind of animal abuse but it should be goal. Abuse also comes in many forms. I'm sorry for you Americans but another example regards USA and that's the exotic pet trade. So many animal that should live in the wild live in private cages in USA among them are animals that should live in troops of their own like monkeys and apes. There are more private owned tigers in USA than left in the wild. The best would be international laws but I guess that's an utopia because as long as we humans see ourselves as the animal of the highest order nothing will change in some places.

@@ML_SE”Man who live in glass house should not throw stones.” You speak of Sweden being so much better than the USA in terms of animal abuse, but it was just recently that four chimps were shot and killed inside a Swedish zoo when they escaped from their enclosure but were still in the zoo (that was closed at the time).
It was so nice to see Decky relaxing in his bedroom 😌 Decky is a gentle soul. Mikan is a good mother to Dill. Dill has a wonderful mother and father. 🥰🥰😇

サムネイル？っていうんでしょうか、あの写真とってもいいですね💕ミカンとディルとイブキ。あの短い時間でしたが、この細やかな愛情表現はなんなんだろうか？としばらく考え込みました。言葉はないけど、イブキはやっていいこと悪いことを理解して、ミカンもイブキに愛情を示した。こんな光景を見てると、人間は下等な動物だと思いました。フラッと動物園に来て、なかなかこういう場面は見られないですよね。動物園も、こんな場面をビデオで流したらいいのに、と思いました。
ありがとうございます。彼らが血縁というより、モモコを中心に一緒に育ってきたからこそ、深い関係性が生まれてくるんでしょう。
それを知っていると、ただ騒がしい生き物だとは感じないでしょう。
それを感じられれば、チンパンジーは、もっと大切にされると思います。言葉にはできない愛情ですね。

Everything and everyone looks AWESOME as usual! I just Love TAMA Chimps! Can anyone tell where I can find videos or post links to videos of Fubuki when he was Baby Dills age? I've been watching chimps for almost 2 years now and I never seen any of Fubuki as an infant! 🙂 Ibuki is getting so big and strong! He can't sit still he has so much energy! Reminds me so very much of his brother. Mikan and Dill are so close! I love watching her with her son. Such a wonderful mother she is. Mil looks good. Everyone's so calm and peaceful. I can't wait until baby dill plays with Ibuki and Plum. What a Trio that'll be. 🙂 Daddy and Uncle Decky will be right there watching over them all as usual. Joining in the fun and games. What a Happy and Healthy and Lucky group of chimps they are!
I do not even know of any videos of baby Fubuki.

Does anyone notice Mikan doesn’t pass her baby off to Fubuki, Ibuki or ANYONE for that matter!! I’m so upset about that baby chimp dying at that horrible zoo.
